First Lady Vicki Lynne Kemp

First Lady Vicki Lynne Kemp was born on July 31, 1968 to Elder Daniel and Evangelist Cora Jordan. 
She was the last of five children to this union and the only girl. First Lady Kemp served as a faithful member at the New Vision Church of God in Christ for eighteen years under her father's leadership until he grew ill and retired.  She then attended Lily of the Valley Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Superintendent Finas Barefield. Upon marriage to Pastor Vernon Kemp in March 1992, she attended Greater Evangelist Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Dr. Roosevelt Kemp.

While supporting her husband Pastor Vernon Kemp, stepping out on faith and under the leading of the Lord, First Lady Vicki Kemp has served with her husband at Greater Harvest Christian Center for eight years. Her favorite scripture reference is Psalm 91:1, he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  She encourages the people of God to stay in that "secret place" and know the power of prayer. In addition to being the First Lady of Greater Harvest, she serves as Director of Children's Ministry, coordinator of Elder and Ministers Wives and provides leadership on the Women's Ministry Board.

First Lady served under Bishop W.W. Hamilton Jurisdictional Prelate and Dr. Mary M. Welch State Supervisor on the Evangelist Cabinet and Women's Department Leadership Team for the California Northwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction for three years.  First Lady Kemp humbly received her Evangelist License in January 2004.  Upon Greater Harvest Christian Center's transition to the California Valley Jurisdiction under the auspices of Bishop S.L. Doyle and Jurisdictional Supervisor Mother Blanche D. McGee, First Lady Kemp eagerly awaits the opportunity to serve.     

First Lady Vicki Kemp is the mother of two lovely daughters, Alexandria Jourdin and Alexis Chrishawne. She is employed full-time for Kern Regional Center in Bakersfield, CA where she is a Service Coordinator.

She obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in General Education in May of 1989 from Bakersfield College and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies in August of 1996 from California State University Bakersfield. She desires to complete her master degree in Special Education and incorporate this knowledge and beneficial resource into her local church home.  Her aim is to reach lost souls for Christ and challenge the wicked to return back to God and add lengths of pages to the Book of Life!
